Pier 1 Imports Has Filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and is Pursuing Sale of the Company

On Monday, Pier 1 Imports announced in a statement that it has filed for bankruptcy and is pursuing a sale of the company. The home goods retailer will continue closing the 450 locations it had announced earlier this year, which includes all locations in Canada.
